As we have all just met the Summer Solstice we think of change. The Freedom of Summer. Friendship. Family. Sharing Food.
Many ask me how I have handled the travel over the years and the truth is there are pluses and minuses, but you meet the most remarkable people.
Travel teaches you flow and patience – it is a practice.
At any given moment you do not know whom you will meet:
The Korean Veteran going through TSA for the first time, and he needs help - and then he gives you the sweetest tip of his cap and a smile.
The young girl returning from Ireland from a baptism, a graduate student with a twin brother. She is getting ready to go to Korea with him for a year, they are from the Dominican Republic...oh yeah...they are studying criminal justice to keep their county safe. Smart kids!
I was stuck overnight in JFK a few weeks ago and this lovely couple played music all night for us on their mandolin and guitar. Kept the whole group happy.
Beauty is around us if we also provide.
The Solstice is a change agent. Embrace.
